CAD Fashion/ Portfolio

ECTS: 5 or 6

Based on your interest and current knowledge (courses attended at the home university already) you will be able to apply for one of the following courses:

  • CAD Fashion 1 (B2_09 – entrance level; 6 ECTS): Students will learn about the basics (layout software) and start creating their own portfolio.
  • CAD Fashion 2 (B3_13 – 5 ECTS): Requires basic software knowledge.  Students develop digital design concepts and visualize their ideas (3D; technical drawings etc.) by using software widely used in the fashion industry. A more advanced portfolio will be developed.
  • CAD Fashion 3 (B6_27 - advanced level only; 6 ECTS): In this project, students will develop their own digital portfolio. This includes creating digital color and design concepts and presenting designs digitally by using garment-specific software and multimedia tools. Students will develop a consistent portfolio concept for their work and implement it professionally. Furthermore, they will analyze, reflect, and present practical experiences and integrate independent work methods in the process. At the end of this project, there will be a presentation of each digital portfolio.

All three courses will be mainly in German with adequate supervision and support in English.
