We are delighted that you are interested in the student exchange programmes at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, University of Applied Sciences (HTW Berlin).

There are partnerships with more than 180 Universities of Applied Sciences in Europe and globally, outside the EU. Thus, the acceptance of study load at the home university is facilitated. You are not sure whether your university has got an agreement for your degree programme with HTW Berlin? In this case, please contact the outgoing coordinator at the international office of your home university or take a look at our partner universities.

HTW Berlin offers a wide range of degree programmes and courses of different subject areas. Furthermore, there is a special programme for international students with courses taught in English called HORIZON.

You want to study in English? A lot of Bachelor and Master degree programmes offer courses taught in English for international students. Take a look right away at the HORIZON programme.

Please note: If you are interested in whatever degree programme at HTW Berlin, please make sure to fulfill the language requirements. You already need a proof of the requested language profiency as you are applying. It is not sufficient to hand it later!

You have already decided to apply for a student exchange programme at HTW Berlin? Perfect. We are delighted to welcome you soon. 

These steps have to be taken to apply successfully at HTW Berlin:

1. Nomination: Your home university nominates you for the student exchange programme at HTW Berlin. This is taking place in our portal Mobility Online, thus digitally. 
2. Invitation: HTW Berlin will send you a letter of invitation to apply for the student exchange programme. Which documents are required? Please check out the detailed information online in good time prior the application !
3. Application: Now it is your turn! Upload all the required documents in our portal Mobility Online. 
4. Confirmation: We will review the applications and confirm the application. Finally, we will send you a letter of acceptance. 

What happens next?

The winter semester at HTW Berlin regularly starts at the 1st of October, the summer semester at the 1st of April. The nomination and application always takes places one semester in advance. The process for the summer semester 2027 starts e.g. in the winter semester of 2026/27.  

Winter semester: 

1. Nomination: until Mid-April
2. Invitation: until end of April
3. Application: until Mid-May
4. Confirmation: until end of June

Summer semester:

1. Nomination: until Mid-October
2. Invitation: until end of October
3. Application: until Mid-November
4. Confirmation: until end of December
