Applying for an apartment in one of our student dormitory

During the application process, you have the option to apply for one of our dormitory rooms. Please note that we only have a limited contingent of dormitory places and cannot guarantee a room to all applicants.

The rooms on offer are single rooms at the "Victor Jara" dormitory, acommodating one person only. These rooms are not suitable for couples.

Please note that it is not possible to apply directly to the dormitory but only during the application process on the MobilityOnline platform.

Student dorm "Victor Jara"

This dormitory is located less than 30 min. by public transport/bicycle from our Treskowallee Campus (Business Faculty) and around 45 minutes from our Wilhelminenhof Campus (all other faculties).

All single apartments have their own kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are equipped with a closet, book shelf, bed, desk and a kitchen unit with a stove and shelves. Personal belongings such as blankets, pillows, bedding, dishes etc. are not provided. Rent is about 392-447 EUR, depending on the size of the accommodation. A one-off deposit of 1 1/2 times the monthly rent needs to be paid (by credit card or bank transfer) alongside the first month's rent before the arrival and will be refunded after moving out.

Please note that the rental periods are 1st March to 31st August for the summer semester and 1st September to end of February for the winter semester. The minimum rental period is 6 months and cannot be changed.

Please note that it is not possible to send mail or shipments to the dormitory before you have moved in.
