Support and guidance at HTW Berlin
Disabled and chronically ill students can contact the Officer for Disabled Students for guidance and support at any time — also before commencing studies — by email, telephone or in person. Assistance can be provided with aspects such as:
- Applications and admission (applying for a hardship case upon admission to a study programme, special applications to be submitted with the application for admission)
- Study conditions at HTW Berlin
- Organising your studies
- Disabled access
- Disadvantage compensation in connection with examinations (Section 13, paragraph 9 of the Framework Regulations for Study Programmes and Examinations)
Support from studierendenWERK Berlin
Disabled and chronically ill students as well as other students can also obtain guidance and support with regard to social law issues, dealing with government offices and institutions, organising and financing assistance with studies and everyday life or other problems from the disabled counselling center of studierendenWERK Berlin.
Applications and admission
To apply for compensation for illness or handicap-related disadvantages, special applications for consideration of hardship cases or disadvantage compensation can be submitted with your online application. Further information on the application procedure can be found on the website of HTW Berlin.
