On the RFID chip no data is saved or processed that enables any conclusions to be drawn about individual persons. The chip contains:

• a globally unique card identifier (manufacturer-specific CardID)
• a unique identification code of studierendenWERK Berlin (studierendenWERK number)
• the canteen payment application of studierendenWERK Berlin (encrypted payment function for the canteen)
• a Ganthner application for locking special storage lockers in the library (encrypted)

The following data is visibly printed on the card:

• On the front:
  • First name and surname
  • Student ID number
  • Library number
  • HTW Berlin logo
  • Date of birth
  • Optionally: photo (see below)
• On the back:
  • Library number with barcode
  • studierendenWERK number
  • Validity period
  • Semester ticket
  • Study programme name
  • VBB logo and Studentenwerk Berlin logo

You are not obliged to have your photo printed on your HTW StudentCard. However, please be aware that if your HTW StudentCard does not have a photo, it is only valid if you are carrying an official form of photo ID.
