Lecturer (m/w/d) for Agile Project Management in Data Analytics

HTW Berlin, Division of Continuing Education, Master’s in Project Management and Data Science, teaching assignment of 80 - 108 teaching units of 45 minutes per summer semester

The English-language postgraduate Master's programme in Project Management and Data Science (MPMD) provides international students with the knowledge to work as data analysts and project managers in national and international companies and to successfully manage international data-driven projects through application-oriented teaching.

The MPMD has been offered since 2016 and is in high demand internationally. Every year, 34 Master's students from 16+ countries take up the 4-semester programme. Graduates of the MPMD are just as sought after by innovative start-ups as they are by global players in the industry. Starting in the summer semester of 2023, we are looking for a lecturer in Agile Project Management in Data Analytics.

Teaching content:

After completing this module, students will be able to plan, manage and monitor data-driven international projects using agile methods. Furthermore, students will be able to employ appropriate technical solutions and software to support project management, apply methods of quality and risk management as well as creativity and problem-solving techniques and create suitable communication structures for international projects. The module also prepares students for the Certified Scrum Master (Scrum.org) exam.

In addition to providing in-depth knowledge of agile project management in an international environment and associated work techniques, the focus of the teaching is primarily on coaching students in application, preferably using real case studies that are worked on in Student Scrum Teams. The basics of classic, agile and hybrid project management can be assumed from previous semesters.
