• Conducting studies on thermochemical catalytic methanation reactions
• Conducting experiments on the production of biochar and analysis of the samples produced
• Evaluation of potential commercial bioenergetic applications and development of case studies for typical applications
• Preparation of life cycle assessments (LCA and LCCA) based on biochemical and thermochemical conversion processes to produce bioenergy
• Carrying out hazard assessments and risk assessments for the preparation of detailed environmental statements for technology development for bioenergy production
• Implementation of MFCA
• Publication of project results in scientific journals

• University degree in environmental informatics or environmental engineering
• Very good knowledge in the field of environmental technologies
• Good knowledge in the field of energy technologies and sustainable energy management
• Very good knowledge in the areas of LCA/LCCA and MFCA
• Good knowledge in the modelling of material flows with Umberto®
• Very good knowledge of German and English
