Bachelor’s application via uni-assist
Table of contents
Who can apply via uni-assist?
You can apply via uni-assist if you fulfil both of the following requirements:
- You are a citizen of an EU or EEA country.
- You obtained your higher education entrance qualification (e.g. German Abitur (secondary school leaving examination)) outside Germany.
This also applies if you have already been enrolled at another German university but have not yet obtained a degree and would like to transfer to HTW Berlin.
Advance quotas
5% of all study places are reserved for applicants from non-EU/EEA countries and for stateless persons. In international degree programmes, the proportion is 12%.
Certificate evaluation & recognition
Use the anabin database or the DAAD admissions database to check whether your educational qualification is recognised in Germany.
These information sources will confirm whether your educational qualification allows you to
- apply directly for a Bachelor’s degree programme. The application is then made via uni-assist.
- or necessitates you to apply initially for a preparatory course (Studienkolleg).
Conversion of overseas grades: if you do not have a German grading equivalent for your overseas average grade, use the “Modified Bavarian Formula” for the purposes of conversion.
You can use the TestAS aptitude test to check whether a Bachelor’s degree programme in Germany is the right choice for you.
