Master’s application via uni-assist

Table of contents

[Translate to Englisch:] Wer bewirbt sich über uni-assist?

You can apply via uni-assist if you fulfil both of the following requirements:

  • You are a citizen of an EU or EEA country.
  • You obtained your first academic degree (e.g. Bachelor) outside Germany.

Advance quotas

5% of all study places are reserved for applicants from non-EU/EEA countries and for stateless persons. In international degree programmes, the proportion is 12%.

Certificate evaluation & recognition

Use the anabin database or the DAAD admissions database to check whether your educational qualification is recognised in Germany.

These information sources will confirm whether you can apply directly for a Master’s programme with your educational qualification. The application is then made via uni-assist.

Conversion of overseas grades: if you do not have a German grading equivalent for your overseas average grade, use the “Modified Bavarian Formula” for the purposes of conversion.
