Introduction of the New Campus Management System – Important Information During the Transition Period
Dear Students,
HTW Berlin is introducing a new Campus Management System (CAMS). The existing university information systems will gradually be replaced.
As part of this transition, selected functions in the area of Student Services that were previously available via LSF will initially be made available in the new Campus Management System. Course and examination management will not be affected.
To ensure a smooth technical transition, preparatory work and a temporary system freeze are required. During this period, access to the existing self-service functions in LSF may be restricted, and our ability to provide information will be limited.
What does this mean for you?
During the system freeze and the associated maintenance work, certain functions in LSF will be temporarily unavailable or available only to a limited extent. This particularly affects the following areas:
- Applications for reimbursements, withdrawal from the university (exmatriculation), leave of absence and part-time study
- Access to your fee account
- Changes to your postal address and email address
- Replacement of StudentCards
Please note that applications available in LSF should be submitted by 23 October wherever possible. Applications received after this date cannot be processed until 16 November. However, downloading certificates from LSF will remain possible throughout the entire transition period.
Furthermore, during this period, Student Services will not have access to your student records. As a result, we will only be able to provide very limited information and will be unable to make any changes or adjustments to your student data.
When will the maintenance work and system freeze take place?
The system freeze will begin on 30 October and is expected to end on 16 November. During this period, the technical and organisational measures required for the system transition will be carried out. Once the transition is complete, the affected functions will either become available again or be transferred to the new Campus Management System.
