Photo note

We will be taking photographs and/or filming at this event. We will use the images on the university’s website, in print media and in social networks. Images will only be passed on to third parties after careful checking and for journalistic reporting purposes.

We need your help to create inspiring pictures! Please support the PR work of HTW Berlin by allowing yourself to be photographed and filmed. If you do not wish any images of you to be taken, please inform our photographers and/or camera crew as quickly as possible at the event. However, you can also withdraw your consent at a later point in time.

1. Purpose of Data Processing and Legal Grounds

We take pictures or film at this event in the public interest. The legal ground for the processing of your data is Art. 6 I lit. e of the GDPR.

2. Recipients of the Personal Data

Ihe image and sound material may be passed on internally to employees of HTW Berlin, to external service providers (e.g. agencies, printers) in connection with creating print-based or onlineproducts of HTW Berlin and journalists for the purpose of press and public relations for HTW Berlin.

Data processing takes place during dissemination via

  • Twitter von der Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (data privacy policy),
  • LinkedIn von der LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (data privacy policy)
  • XING über XING SE, Dammtorstraße 30, 20354 Hamburg, Deutschland (data privacy policy).

Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram and LinkedIn are certified under the EU-USA Privacy Shield Agreement and thus currently comply with European data protection law.

The rights listed under 4. must be asserted with the respective third party provider. HTW Berlin has no influence on the storage and deletion of data transmitted to third parties.

3. Storage Period of Data

Your data will be saved and published by HTW Berlin until you withdraw your consent. If an external contract has been awarded, the contractors (e.g. photographers, graphic designers, printing houses) will immediately delete your data from their data storage media immediately after completion of the contract.

4. Rights of Data Subjects

In accordance with Art. 13 (2) of the GDPR you have the right to receive information about your personal data processed by HTW Berlin (Art. 15 GDPR),  the right for your personal data to be corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), the right for deletion (Art. 17 GDPR) of personal data saved by HTW Berlin, the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) of this data by HTW Berlin and the right to withdraw your consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). These rights are limited to data processing by HTW Berlin and are not automatically transferred to all data passed on to third parties. You may need to make further requests for deletion yourself, for example to Facebook or Google.

5. Withdrawal of Consent

You can withdraw your consent with effect for the future at any time. Any data processing already carried out shall therefore remain lawful.
