Grades & grade certificates
Grades and performance overviews in the LSF
In the LSF portal, you will find the following in the section entitled “Study Status/Certificates”:
- Your current grades
- Grade certificates (enrolment and semester certificates)
- Overall performance overviews in German and English
These documents can be downloaded free of charge as PDF files and submitted to the authorities (e.g. BAföG (educational support allowance) office). Authenticity is confirmed by QR code and verification address.
Please apply for signed grade certificates via the LSF.
In the event of discrepancies in your performance overviews or semester certificates, please contact your responsible student management team.
ETCS grading tables
The ETCS grading tables (in German) help to categorise grades nationally and internationally, especially when changing universities or studying abroad.
Certificates of attainment for guest listeners and visiting students
The certificate is issued by the lecturer, who hands it to the faculty administration for stamping. The certificates will then be sent to you by post.

Degree documents
As soon as the documents have been received from the Examination Board, the student management team will issue the following:
- Grade transcript & certificate
- Certificate of Exmatriculation
- Further final documents
Notification by postcard or email as soon as the documents are ready for collection.
Collection/dispatch:
- in person or by another person with authorisation
- postal dispatch on request (please send address by email)
Replacement certificates & notarisations
Replacement certificates and notarisations are issued by the Student Service Centre for a fee.

StudentCard
The StudentCard is only valid for enrolled students. In the event of your exmatriculation, you will lose your student status and all associated benefits.
