As a professor at HTW Berlin you are paid according to the Berlin Salary Scale for Scientific Civil Servants. In most cases newly appointed professors qualify for group W 2.

The basic salary W 2 is (as of November 2023):
6,418.88 €

In some cases, additional allowances may be granted.

Depending on family status and the number of underage children a family allowance (FZ) is granted. The allowance is calculated as follows (as of November 2023)

As part of your contract negotiations the university administration may grant you an appointment allowance. The allowance is granted for the duration of your employment.

For the duration of performing certain additional functions within the university a special allowance is granted. Special allowances are awarded among others to deans, vice deans or speakers of degree courses.

For special achievements in teaching, research, arts, training and promotion of young researchers a performance allowance may be granted either uniquely or continuously.

For the procurement of private third-party funds for research and teaching projects an allowance may be granted. The duration is limited to the time of inflow of funds.
