Bachelor’s degree programmes with aptitude test
Some design and culture degree programmes at HTW Berlin require students to pass an aptitude test. These examinations take place before the general application deadlines. It is not possible to apply without passing the aptitude test.

How it works
- First the aptitude test: firstly, apply directly for the aptitude test in your chosen degree programme.
- Then the application: as soon as you have successfully passed the aptitude test, you can apply for your chosen degree programme via the HTW Berlin online application portal within the regular deadlines.

When uploading your documents, please note the following:
- Preferably in PDF format (JPG is accepted in individual cases)
- Sort multi-page documents in the correct order
- Use logical file names (e.g. “Grade Overview_Uni_...”)
- Ensure good legibility and quality
Update subsequent changes
- Change contact details: Send an email with the new data and corresponding proof (e.g. registration certificate) to the Student Service Centre at HTW Berlin. Ensure you include your application number and your chosen degree programme in the subject line.
- Application-related changes (e.g. degree programme, study type): You must complete a new online application for these types of changes.
- Applications that have already been submitted can no longer be processed: If you would like to change information or if you have noticed errors and your application has not yet been processed by the university, please withdraw your application. Only then can you make changes and resubmit the application within the application deadline. Your application will not be processed by the university during the withdrawal period.
