• Application by email from your HTW Berlin email address to the Student Service Centre (form in the LSF campus management portal)
• No retroactive exmatriculation possible: at the earliest on the day the application is received, at the latest at the end of the current semester

Takes place automatically when

• No timely re-registration is made
• Module examinations or final examination were failed definitively
• Final examination was passed

• Effective upon passing the final oral examination
• The examination administration department will inform you by email as soon as you can collect your certificates,  certificate of enrolment and certificate for pension insurance.
• For immediate proof, send the application for exmatriculation, your provisional certificate of study completion and a photo of the cut-up HTW Berlin StudentCard to the Student Service Centre.
• The semester ticket is cancelled at the end of the month; apply for a pro rata refund if necessary

• Before the start of the semester: full refund of the semester fee possible
• After the start of the semester: pro rata refund of the semester ticket possible

• Examination entitlement remains in place until the end of the semester, even after exmatriculation
• If only the final oral examination is still outstanding, re-registration for the following semester is not necessary (exception: Public and Nonprofit Management)
• Statutory health insurance: entitlement to benefits for a further month possible after exmatriculation → inform health insurance company immediately
• Educational support allowance (BAföG): Inform the Office for Educational Support immediately

• Access to the LSF campus management system ends 90 days after exmatriculation. Please download the performance certificates yourself within this period.
• Your HTW Berlin email address will be deactivated 6 months after exmatriculation. Until then, communication will continue to take place via the HTW Berlin mail programme.
