Starting your studies

Welcome to HTW Berlin! Useful information when starting your studies:

  • Welcome email: After enrolment, you will receive the access data for your HTW Berlin account. You can then use your HTW Berlin account details to log in to all the websites relevant to your studies.
  • HTW Berlin mail: Communication takes place exclusively via your HTW Berlin email address — check this regularly and set up forwarding if necessary.
  • Campus Management System: Our LSF campus management system contains documentation including your certificate of enrolment to download and your personal timetable shortly prior to the start of the semester.
  • Timetable: In the first semester, full-time students are automatically registered for most courses (exception: elective modules). In general, Bachelor’s students do not have to take any additional courses and find out everything important during Fresher’s week.

From the second semester onwards

  • Re-registration: Punctual payment of the semester fee guarantees your re-registration each semester.
  • From now on, you are responsible for course enrolment and registration for the examinations.
  • Semesters abroad usually take place from the fourth semester onwards. We recommend informing yourself of the various options early on.

Final semesters prior to graduation

The final phase of your degree programme includes:

  • elective and specialist modules that set individual priorities.
  • an internship lasting several months, which is compulsory in the Bachelor’s degree programme.
