• Note the re-registration deadline (no automatic reminder!)
• Transfer the semester fee in full and on time (health insurance required)
• Check re-registration status in the LSF campus management portal and download certificate of enrolment
• Validate StudentCard at the campus machine after successful re-registration
• Update semester ticket
• In case of late re-registration: Pay late fee (max. 4 weeks grace period)

The “Certificates” section of the LSF campus management system contains your enrolment and performance certificates in German and English for downloading purposes. These documents contain a verification mark for authenticity checks.

• Have you submitted your thesis no more than four weeks after the start of the semester and the only thing which is due to take place in the new semester is the final oral examination? Re-registration is not necessary (exception: Public and Nonprofit Management)
• Are you studying in parallel and not exercising your membership rights at HTW Berlin? Send proof of re-registration from the other university to the HTW Berlin Student Service Centre
• Sabbatical semester? Re-register anyway within the deadline

In the event that you fail to pay the semester fee in full, do not pay it at all or pay it only after the deadline has expired, you will be exmatriculated with effect from the end of the previous semester and will receive a notice of exmatriculation.

Reasons preventing correct re-registration may include, but are not limited to

• No proof of health insurance
• Unfulfilled admission requirements
• Failure to attend examination counselling
• A missing language test
• Parts of the pre-study internship are lacking

In the event that such an impediment exists, it will be displayed in the LSF campus management portal and the missing documentation or evidence must be submitted within the re-registration deadline.
