The app is available for all students to download free of charge from the Google Play Store/Apple App Store.

Download the free HTW Campus App. Then enter your HTW Berlin email address and password. You can use this to log in to the app.

A login with a personal email address and password is required to use the app to its full extent. The system recognises that you are a student - and displays the appropriate functions such as grade overview, personal calendar and email access.

Some content, such as the cafeteria menus, can be accessed without logging in, but the majority of the app is specially tailored to students - and only works properly after logging in.

Additional registration is only necessary for the email function. All other content is directly available.

Yes, if the event is cancelled in the LSF campus management system.

That’s not necessary. Except for the email function, the login remains valid for 90 days and you won’t be logged out automatically.

You can set up the email inbox in the app using your university account details.
The following information is required:

• Your full name
• Your email address: Your HTW Berlin account username@htw-berlin.de
• Your password

The app sends a push notification when a new email arrives.

An overview of subscribed channels can be viewed in the Citizen menu (top right) under the section "Followed". All HTW Campus App channels and external feeds are displayed there. It is possible to unsubscribe from channels at any time.

The HTW Campus App can inform you about certain posts in the news feeds you have subscribed to via push notification. You will only receive messages about channels that you follow yourself - no adverts, no spam. If you no longer wish to receive push notifications, you can deactivate them at any time in the app settings or directly via your smartphone settings. You can also be informed of the appearance of new grades via push notifications. Our silent emergency push also works via this function. We would therefore advise you not to deactivate the emergency push notification.

Emergency push notification
The silent emergency push notification is a special function of the HTW Campus App that is activated in the event of dangerous situations. It enables students to be alerted quickly and directly via push notification. These emergency messages are visible to all app users, as it is not possible to unfollow the corresponding emergency channel. The Critical Alert (similar to the Nina app) is a function that is also activated in the event of dangerous situations. However, users must first give the app their authorisation to do so. These emergency messages overwrite device settings such as sleep mode etc.

For quick help and technical problems, support is provided by the app provider UniNow. There are several ways to access the support chat in the HTW Campus App.

The app is being subject to continual development, and additional functions are planned. Your ideas are welcome!

UniNow fulfils all requirements of the GDPR. All data is stored securely, encrypted and locally on the students' devices. The personal data displayed in the app is only stored locally on the end device, and therefore the personal data remains with the user themselves. Servers and databases for the app are hosted in data centres in the EU.
