At HTW Berlin, only the following semester fees are charged to those participating in degree programmes. However, it is wise to plan for the financing of living expenses during degree programmes, because students usually need at least 950 euros per month to support themselves financially. Many are financially supported by their parents during their studies, get a part-time job or apply for a BAföG study grant or a scholarship.                                          

The precise amount of money required to complete a degree programme depends on several cost factors. The largest proportion is usually accounted for by the accommodation, thus determining the budget available for the remaining expenses.
