Educational support allowance (BAföG)
- BAföG is the most important state student grant, the level of which depends on the income of parents and students.

- Student loans can be applied for during advanced studies and must be repaid.
- It is advisable to check your financial situation carefully before taking out a loan and apply for a social counselling session from the Studierendenwerk Berlin.
Help in financial emergencies
