Whether you have to apply directly to HTW Berlin or via uni-assist depends on your nationality and the country in which you obtained your first academic degree.

You should apply directly to HTW Berlin if one of the following requirements applies to you:

• You obtained your first academic degree (e.g. Bachelor) in Germany.
• You have German nationality or are a citizen of an EU or EEA country.
• You want to change your degree programme within HTW Berlin.                                                          

You should apply via uni-assist if you meet both of the following requirements:                                              

• You are not a citizen of an EU or EEA country.
• You obtained your first academic degree outside Germany.
