part-time lecturer for the module B114 Testing & Hacking

Fachbereich 4 – Informatik, Kommunikation und Wirtschaft – is seeking for the Winter Semester 26/27 (starting 01.10.2026) a part-time lecturer for the module B114 Testing & Hacking Consisting of 4 contact hours per week (4sws) for the 5th semester of the Bachelor's degree program in Cyber Security and Business

Course content (to be taught in English):

  • Students learn the fundamentals of penetration testing and are able to independently perform basic penetration tests.

  • Students become familiar with penetration testing tools and are able to use them.

  • Students understand the methods used by attackers and learn how to apply them as part of a Red Team.

  • Students are able to prepare and present a structured report on the results of a technical security assessment of IT infrastructure.

The module is designed as a hands-on computer laboratory course.

Classes are held at the HTW Berlin Wilhelminenhof campus.

The minimum requirement for the appointment is a university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Relevant professional experience is an advantage. Applicants are expected to teach at least one 180-minute class per week. Remuneration is €90 per 90-minute teaching unit (90 minutes = 2 SWS; €45 per SWS).
