ISCN Hackathon Overview

Smart city applications are flourishing in many cities worldwide. With the increased use of sensors, cameras and other data points, researchers, policymakers and students can now use gathered information to effectively influence public policies and development strategies.

On this one-day hybrid event at HTW Berlin, students from HTW and from EUonAIR partners Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences and Abat Oliba CEU University, Barcelona gathered in multi-disciplinary teams and were assigned a challenge with a real-world problem. Drawing on diverse academic backgrounds, students were tasked with proposing innovative, data-driven solutions.
