Partnerships and networks

HTW Berlin has established a tight-knit network of transfer and research-relevant partnerships with universities, non-university research institutions, institutes, cultural institutions, associations, organisations, large companies and SMEs.

As part of IFAF Berlin (Berlin Institute for Applied Research), HTW Berlin cooperates together with three other state-governed universities in Berlin as well as regional companies to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technology into practice.

The German Alliance of Applied Sciences (HAWtech) unites HTW Berlin with five other universities of applied sciences with a technical focus.

The FHnet network is helping to develop a European research strategy.

HTW Berlin is a full member of the European University Association (EUA), the largest association of European universities.

HTW Berlin is also actively involved in shaping Berlin as a location for science and research by participating in the Berlin Partner network.

Institutional partners include the Fraunhofer institutes, Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, German Archaeological Institute, Deutsche Elektronen-Synchrotron, Stiftung Deutsches Technik Museum Berlin and Berliner Museum für Naturkunde.

Our professors also have a large number of individual and long-standing partnerships in their fields of teaching and research – from companies offering internships or thesis topics to research service clients and fellow practitioners who are looking for academic connections or opportunities for further education and/or who enrich HTW Berlin as lecturers.
