BIG-ALGAE concept is based on the demonstration, scaling-up and optimisation of sustainable and economic cost-effective technologies for macroalgae cultivation and processing to generate several macroalgae-based products for different market applications. The project is grounded on the following 5 main pillars: - Reliable macroalgae production- Valorisation of macroalgae ingredients by cascading biorefinery- Formulation and validation of macroalgae-based products- Environmental sustainability, economic feasibility, and social acceptance- Dissemination, communication, and exploitation of resultsResearch Group "Creative Media" at HTW Berlin will participate with focus on digital solutions for social acceptance and communication.
