Practical localization of SDGs at the level of SDS of Bereza and Klichev districts (SDGs at district level)
The project aims to provide expert support for SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) localization in two districts of Belarus with differing track record of adopting sustainable development principles. In Bereza District, the SDS (Sustainable Development Strategy) adopted in 2016 will be revised, whereas in Klichev District, the SDS the work on which started in 2019 and which is currently undergoing concept formulation, will be finalized.
The unique aspect of the project is that the development of both SDSs will be strengthened by drawing on the German experience of development process digitalization and focus on future generations, besides the SDSs will be integrated with the National Sustainable Development Strategy of the Republic of Belarus until 2035 (NSDS 2035) and Mogilev Oblast SDS until 2035, which are currently being developed. The experience of project implementation will be relevant for all 118 districts of Belarus.
